Our approach to Traceability

Traceability helps us identify and address any risks in the production process early.

Traceability and documentation
in CNC machining

In CNC machining, traceability and documentation are crucial to ensure quality and reliability. With our process, we ensure that all parts and materials are properly documented and traced, so you can rely on a manufacturing process that meets the highest standards.

Our process

Being able to track and document is crucial to our quality

Registration

We begin every manufacturing process with an accurate record of all materials and parts that go into the final product.

Entry Control

Our experts start with a thorough check of specifications through a checklist and protocol. Using AI, we analyze specifications and drawings.

Inspection

After production, we perform critical quality measurements and collect all necessary documents to confirm that the final product meets the requirements.

Archiving

Our ERP system acts as a central archive where we store all quality and production data by batch or order.

Our approach

1. Registration of materials and components

We begin every production process with an accurate record of all the materials and components that go into the final product. This allows us to always record the origin and certification of key materials. Our traceability includes:

  • Material certificates (2.2 and 3.1): These certificates guarantee the origin and composition of materials. Certificate 2.2 contains standard information from our supplier, while certificate 3.1 provides additional details, directly from the material supplier, for situations where more traceability is required.
  • Batch and Serial Numbers: Parts are identified with batch or serial numbers so we can move quickly during quality checks and quickly retrace any discrepancies.

2. Entry control and verification of customer specifications.

By checking customer specifications before the start of production, we prevent errors and deviations later in the process. This ensures better quality and more efficient production time.

We start with a thorough check of specifications through a checklist and protocol. Using AI and automation, we analyze specifications and drawings, and record them in our ERP system. This supports both the production and inspection processes so that all requirements are clear from the beginning. This documentation in our ERP system ensures that all requirements are followed accurately.

3. Inspection and quality documentation

After production, we perform critical quality measurements and collect all necessary documentation to confirm that the final product meets requirements. Our quality documentation includes:

  • First Article Inspection (FAI) Reports: For parts with strict tolerances, exact dimensions and tolerances are recorded and verified with certified measuring instruments.
  • Final reports: These are detailed summaries of inspection results and any corrections so you can verify that the final product meets all standards.

4. Historical data for certification and audits.

Some customers and regulators sometimes request historical quality data on specific batches, for example, for certification or auditing purposes.

Our ERP system acts as a central archive in which we store all quality and production data by batch or order. This way, customers and auditors always have access to the necessary documentation, ensuring transparency and regulatory compliance.

Digital documentation and user access

Flexible access to documentation

Upon request, we can make documentation available digitally, such as material certificates and inspection reports. This gives you insight into key quality aspects of the production process, tailored to your specific project needs.

Integration with ERP System

Our ERP system makes it possible to record all traceable data and documentation centrally. This provides us with an overview of all important production details, such as material certificates, inspection results and product specifications. This allows us to provide you with the required information quickly and efficiently.

How this contributes to your quality goals

Prompt action on quality problems

Thanks to our traceability systems, we can react quickly to quality problems. In case of deviations, we can immediately identify the source and take the appropriate corrective measures. This reduces risks and enables an efficient solution.

Compliance with industry standards

With proper documentation and certificates, we can demonstrate that each product meets the relevant quality standards and customer-specific requirements. This helps us ensure consistency and continuously improve our processes.

Continuous quality improvement

Our documentation gives us valuable data that allows us to identify trends and patterns. This enables us to make continuous improvements so that we continue to meet our customers’ quality expectations.

Transparency and commitment

We believe in transparency and strive for trust in every step of the project. We keep you informed of progress and ensure that you have access to relevant documentation to support our quality promises. This ensures that all important aspects of the production process are well documented and controlled.
